| Notes: | This is a very poor image but stays here because it is the very first image of any kind to be taken through this telescope. In fact, this was taken on this telescope's first light (the first time it was ever used outside at night) and the first time I had used a telescope in over 15 years. I had no idea what I was doing so I just stuck the camera on the adapter, shoved it in the telescope, tried to focus and took a series of images stepping through a wide exposure range to make sure I got something. If you are an astrophotographer you understand the significance of this image, if you are not, think of it as your first kiss and you have a small idea of what this represents. |
