Now available!

You can purchase it immediately at this link:

It should show up in the next few days in the Amazon general pages and more distributors shortly thereafter. In a few weeks the Kindle version should hit the shelves as well.

Enjoy!

Re: Current status of the book Getting Started: Budget Astrophotography

The book is in the very last stages. The printed proof should be here tomorrow and unless something horrible happens it should be complete and available for sale by this coming weekend. Thanks to everyone who helped and to those of you patiently waiting!

Current status of the book Getting Started: Visual Astronomy

I have several books about astrophotography in print and it occurs to me that the same approach I have taken with my Getting Started series on astrophotography can be applied to visual astronomy, and so starts this book. My intention is to create a book aimed more at the how-to nuts and bolts of obs...

There seems to be a lot of interest in this book so I am trying really hard to make it something you will all enjoy. Re: Current status of the book Messier Astrophotography Reference

Unfortunately if I printed the interior in color it would have to sell for somewhere near $50 so I have them done in black and white. The Kindle version is in color if you have something that can read color Kindle books such as a Kindle Fire, iPad, etc.

Re: Vixen SXW

Unfortunately I have never met anyone using a Vixen mount so I really could not tell you much. From the little I have heard, due to the software and support, the Vixen mounts are not highly rated for AP. Take that with a grain of salt however since I have never used one. I would suggest you ask abou...

Re: Clear Skies!

Clouds? Last Saturday had a little break in the clouds, I was the only one at the observatory. Thursday night was pretty clear except to the south, Mike and I both were at the observatory, I left around 9pm I think. Friday night was beautiful, Mike and I were out there all night, I left around 5:30a...

Re: Current status of the book Getting Started: Budget Astrophotography

Been almost a month but I am still on course. The book has been sent to my small army of proofers for general proofing. Once I get it back from them (about three to four weeks) it will go one more quick round in house, and then to the publisher for a physical proof. Current status: Crowd proofing, s...
